The Nigerian military on Monday recorded a victory against terrorists of the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) in Borno State. Reports reaching Naija News at this time confirmed that members of the terrorist group collecting tax from residents of the state were bombed within the Kukawa Local Government Area of the state.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday debunked reports that it has postponed its presidential primary election scheduled for today. The party denied reports about the alleged postponement in a statement by Debo Ologunagba, PDP national publicity secretary, Naija News reports.
The main opposition party maintained that its Special National Convention is on course as scheduled.
The PDP also called on members and delegates to disregard news of its postponement.
