An ally of Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has revealed why he was visited by his counterpart, the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed. The ally who spoke with Daily Trust on the visit said the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar and his group sent Mohammed to appeal to Wike not to leave PDP.

The vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Kashim Shettima has vowed that he and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will hit the ground running if Nigerians vote for them in 2023. He said both of them as Governors of Borno and Lagos States respectively recorded massive developmental feats and they will replicate the feats in Nigeria.
